Firehaus Pilates has the best Pilates instructors ever! I was injured in a car accident several years ago, and I can honestly say I would not be able to live a normal 27-year-old lifestyle without the two of them and all the help they’ve given me. After my accident I was barely able to move, much less do my job as a makeup artist. They’ve taught me better ways to stand while working so I don’t aggravate my injury. I was taking painkillers all the time, and now because I do Pilates regularly I barely take any. They have helped me so much, and I’m so glad they’ve been so successful and have been able to move into such a great space! Working out at Firehaus is fun and challenging, and I’m so happy to have such a beautiful new studio to go to that’s in such a fantastic Denver Lo-Hi location! Jump board Friday is my favorite!
I always get a great workout! As a person who spends a majority of the day sitting at a desk, Pilates is what saves my body, both physically and emotionally. I look forward to my sessions each week and the new lower Highlands studio is breathtaking!
I am 38 years old, a mother of 5 and a Chiropractor. My schedule is very demanding and was starting to have a negative impact on my body. My job is very physical and with Rachel's help, I have learned proper body mechanics and positioning while I am adjusting my patients. Also, after having 5 kids my abdominal muscles were pretty well stretched out as well as my pelvic floor. The results have been amazing! I no longer have lower back discomfort, upper back and neck tightness, and my body feels much stronger and more stable! I recommend Pilates to my patients and send them directly to Rachel!
I developed Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) following a motor vehicle accident. In an all-out attempt to get back to my job as a professional violinist, I had four surgeries here in Denver in the span of 8 months. Following my surgeries, I was introduced to rehab Pilates through Rachel. She has been an invaluable part of my post-operative care. Her personal experience with TOS as well as her whole-hearted desire to help her clients have allowed me to put total trust in her. Pilates has been an integral part of each day. It helps in my constant battle with chronic pain. For me, the nerve pain and muscle spasms associated with my TOS need the constant reeducation from the Pilates modalities. I cannot recommend the value of Pilates to others enough.
I am 51 years old and started Pilates with Rachel when I was 50. I have always been pretty active, but felt like something was missing in my workouts. I was diagnosed with Osteopenia when I was 45 and knew I needed to focus on exercises that helped my bone density. I can't wait to get my next Dexa scan to see how much Pilates has helped! It has also assisted with my balance and coordination which is critical for preventing fractures from falling as we age. Pilates with Rachel has changed by body significantly, and I have become so much more aware of my posture. Pilates has been wonderful for my body, but just as good for my head. Rachel makes it challenging and fun - she always teaches me something new about my muscles and how they work.

As a senior, my mobility and balance were very poor. I have worked with Rachel for the past 5 years and am thrilled with the results that I have achieved with Pilates during this time. My body is stronger, I’m more flexible, and my balance has improved a great deal. Firehaus Pilates has very dedicated pilates instructors. And I would highly recommend them.
